Picnic by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra

A musical homage to Vienna and the Prater! Just in time for the start of the vacations, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra invites the whole family to a Prater picnic against the spectacular backdrop of the Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel. Pack your picnic basket, spread out your blanket and enjoy musical highlights from operetta to pop with free admission. Under the musical direction of Dirk Kaftan, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra dances into the summer: Johann Strauss' Czárdás from his only opera Ritter Pásmán meets Mikis Theodorakis' legendary Zorba's Dance and Arturo Márques' Danzon No. 2, which has become a Mexican national anthem thanks to its incredible success.

Annette Dasch and Georg Nigl will delight audiences with duets and arias by Johann Strauss, Leo Fall, Robert Stolz and Franz Lehár. Pop star Julian le Play will enchant the audience with his songs.
